I would dearly like to see where the touching up is required! That is looking spectacular even though it is not quite finished.

Struts, fin, some scratches on the lozenge etc. ! Thanks for the comment, Greatly appreciated!

Looking great! I did this scheme in 1/72 in my Roden E.V, and though I'm not a huge fan of this aircraft, it is tempting more and more....!

PS how is the OAW Albatros D.III coming along?
Thanks for the comment. I did this scheme with the Eduard 1/48th kit but couldn't resist doing it again on this one with the Pheon Decals. nce one figures out how to attack the wing struts it really isn't that challenging of a build

Great Rick, very nice! I must say that I had intented to build this kit as a fast and easy "between two serious projects" build. But your and Lance's build reports frightened me off a little. That didn't seem to be quick and easy... but nevertheless it's a pleasure to look at!
Andreas
Thanks for the compliment Andreas! Not a quick and easy build but your skill level would make your Building experience easier than mine I think!

Rick,
Your approach to wrestling this one onto the mat seems to have worked very successfully, a beautiful and impressive model from what is, at best, a very basic Kit. That tricky flimsy wing set up looks solid and you've done a great job on the finish. Congratulations, a great result and having just been there myself, very well done!
Cheers,
Lance
Lance, Thank you! I forgot to mention that as I used what was the rear strut on the Roden Fokker DVI cut to size for the forward strut, I had a pointed tab to insert into a drilled hole in the wing. I used Tamiya glue to set then superglued all of the strut locations. Like I said SO FAR very solid. I can pick it up by the wing or fuselage although I am handling it very carefully

Agree completely with Lance, and between both of your builds, give us plenty of material to digest and hopefully come up with just as beautiful a reproduction.
Thanks Juan! Your continued support is appreciated!

Great job, Rick, even though the build is not finished yet, she is a beauty already!
Cheers
Ondra
Ondra, As always I appreciate how you follow my builds...and the comments!

PS: The Albatros is next up for serious attention. I have not spent more than 2 hours total at my bench in the last two weeks
