Przemek your build is absolutely beautiful - up to your standards! Everything looks so crisp and clean!
Can`t wait till the next update with the engine.
Best regards
Filip

I have been in Fl. Without computer access so just catching up. As always you have produced a truly Magnificent Model to date. The overall painting and weathering, rigging, and the engine work are outstanding.

Great looking Bristol so far, those Polish markings somehow contrast really well with the PC10 :)

Thank you, Jeroen.

Some progress with preparation of engine bits. Started with the carburettor parts, which have a plastic connection between carb pairs, that should not be there - I managed to remove most of it, also a funny post on which they were supposed to stand was removed. Bits of the posts were inserted into the holes in the engine block, sanded flush now. Also those round inspection holes in the engine front are done.

Oil tank equipped with two outlets and the drain pipe.

Oil filter has two funny pipes attached, which have little to do with reality. Those were cut off and correct pipes will be attached later, from a soldering wire.

Magnetos armed with 12 electric wires each, held together in 6s by bands. There will be some more of such bands added later.

Exhausts cleaned from flash and outlets drilled open.

And cylinder blocks glued together. Here I still hope to replace those tiny blobs imitating spark plugs with something from the wide offer from Taurus.

We will see, Juan, we will see. But I will do my best  ;)

Some more steps...

Taurus spark plugs have arrived, the WNW blobs were cut off, holes for Taurus bits drilled.

One test fitted

And after painting and installing, together with the cam shafts

Oil tank painted

Carburetters and intake manifolds ready for assembly

And the engine with magnetos and cam shaft drive. Water and oil pump are also installed but barely seen in this photo.

Incredible quality of work here Prze, what did you use for the ignition wires, and what are they painted with?
Cheers,
Lance

hi Preze!
Taurus sparks are little jems in themselves.
I use those too, but I have one question: do you insert them till you reach the 'big nut' almost half way, or you leave a gap bethween the nut and the hole where you insert them? (hope tho have myself explained....  ???)

Lance, the cables are from 0.25 soldering wire painted beige brown. Inevitably, during manipulations they will loose some of the paint and then I will have to retouch them.

Those I used here have a pin devised to enter the predrilled hole. They nicely sit in there with the nut supporting them on the hole rim, the nut is fully exposed.

Lovely progress, Przemo! I really do love the engine detailing, those spark plugs and ignition wires make a big difference. Lovely lifelike work on the carbs and induction pipes too... Masterful! Regards, Marc

Outstanding, looks like it could start and take off.

PS - Love your home made engine stand, great use of old sprues
