Also only just caught up with this. Incredible work all round. Love what you achieved with the engine and wings - lots of good things to learn there.

Thanks for sharing,
Alistair

Great job, Manni, I especially like the delicate details on the tail booms, very impressive!

Hello folks
thank you for your warm replies. This means much to me.

The rigging of this Fee is quiet time consuming and push me to the edge of my personal skills and patience.

I didn't like the PE Part for the distributor(?) compared to the Gaspatch turnbuckles, so I decided to build them by myself.

So I took 5 British turnbuckles in 1/48th scale and glued them together and attached a PE part out of my scrapbox.

Here some pics of the status. there is still some rigging missing, some Decals have to be attached and some of the wires still have to be painted with AK's true Metal and polished with Q-Tips.

See you soon,
Manni

Simply awesome, Manni! This one will be my next project (in fact, this kit is the main reason for me having switched from 1/48 to 1/32 scale) and I will use your exciting build log as my first reference. I really love your Fe 2b (as I love your Fokker E III) and I can hardly wait to see this diorama project finished!
Herzliche Grüße
Andreas

That's great work on the turnbuckles; I tried to do the same on mine but didn't get the results you did, and reverted back to the Kit PE ones. Yours look much better, well done! 8)

You are right, your construction using the turnbuckles are much more detailed (and better looking) than the original part supplied.  Your rigging is to be commended also, you must have the patience of a saint.  Looking forward to your progress.

It's been a while since I last stopped by buy I am so pleased I have, your work on the Fee is incredible with great attention to detail, excellent weathering and the rigging has turned out a real treat. I commend you on your exceptional modeling skills which are shinning through on both of these models, well done.

Thanks you all above! :)
Your comments keep me going on trying to improve my skills.
The next post will be the last on the Fee.
But then the fun part starts, the diorama. I have nearly all parts together and I am very excited in starting this project.
There will be lots of terrain, snow, fighting animals and so on.
Bye,
Manni
