Thank you Edo for the nice words.

Here it goes slowly forward.
I have added the struts and buckles and fit them to the lower wing.

The frame was painted with deck tan and burned sienna oils got a coat of clear yellow.

The Lewis MG got some new details , a new nuzzle from brass tube and a Norman vane sight.

I hope you like it new pictures of the progress will come soon.
Cheers,
Manni

Brilliant progress. You show us how to upgrade a kit's MG to an extend, that makes aftermarket products superfluous. And I really love your overall work on the Fe2b, the PC shade, the warm wooden tones on the struts and the accentuation of all the beautiful details.

Edit: Oh well, I see now you used aftermarket parts  :)

Manni,
You continue to impress, Sir! That frame portion is incredibly well done, great wood tone and grain and superb detailing of the metal fittings put it into a class of it's own. This Thread is a pleasure to follow, outstanding work!
Cheers,
Lance

Nery nice work, Manni. Is that Norman vane sight an after market kit, or is it scratch built? I'm building a Lewis gun for my RE.8 and would love to add that detail.

Thanks,
George

Thank you all for your kind and warm words, they mean a lot to me. THANK YOU!

George, the Norman vane sights are from an upgrage set from HGW.
You can take them for the early planes, the mid and late guns have had a normal sight, because the vane sight tendet to rotate to the left when the pilot flew a hard right curve and viceversa, so the gunner had to aim behind the enemy plane.

Nice work Manni, and it is a pleasure to see you are brave enough to add some crew into the models too.

This helps to add some context and scale to the finished models although it is difficult to make figures in miniature to look convincing. You have succeeded with your Eindecker.

Is your Lewis gun sourced from Eduard- hence the extra p/e sights?

Looking forward to seeing your completed project.

Best wishes,

Dave
