Another beautiful bird from your hands Des, I wholeheartedly echo all the above comments on this build, superb!
With the quality of your work Des, you could start your own company with those two superlative scratchbuilds!!
I don't know why the AWM and other museums haven't knocked down your door for your services :D ;)

Thank you Andrew and Vladimir, your kind words are very much appreciated.

I have been thinking about my next scratch build and I'm leaning towards a 1:32 scale Caudron GIII, quite a unique and unusual looking aeroplane but another one that is not available in 1:32 scale. I will do some more searching to see if I can find enough information to build a model, a good set of plans would be beneficial  ;) ;) ;)

Hi Des
It has been a real treat to watch your build in progress and appreciate your craftmanship. The finished model looks just like the real thing! I hope it will spur someone to produce a kit in 1/32 - I certainly couldn't do what you have done. Marvellous!
Happy Modelling

Hi Des,

congratulations to your finished Taube. This was the project that impresses me most during the last months and makes me feel that this forum is the ideal place for learning and sharing experiences. While havings seen the taube in Berlin I am really impressed about your skills. Great work on the tubing inside the nascelle,  the engine, cooler ... and especially on the rigging!!!

Cheers, Dirk

DES, it's been few days since I've been back here and I can see what I missed. You have done amazing job. I don't think I can ever build a complete kit from scratch like yourself and several others here. Only thing I can hope for is WnW or another party to build it into a 1/32 kit because it's awesome flying machine. I can see it being a center piece of your collection. Thanks foe sharing it.  ;)

Beautiful build, we probably owe it to Des for the new WNW announcement  ;).  All kidding aside, incredible modeling Des.

Thanks Bo for bringing my scratch built Taube back to life, incredible to think that I did this way back in 2012, I am so pleased to see Wingnuts are following suit by producing a kit of this amazing aeroplane.

Hear hear, Bo. Awesome work Des. I hope you tackle the WNW kit - it'd be great to see the two together.

Wow, this is definitely a wonderful model of this bird. Congratulations, even if they arrive 5 years after finishing it ..

Hi Des
Any Taube build is worthy of praise in my opinion. I agree with Krow113 about setting the bar on this one though. Yet another masterpiece in your enviable collection.
