Words fail me. This is an incredibly beautiful model Des. Your rigging and wire wheels are immaculate and they 'make' the model in my humble opinion. It should be displayed prominently in a museum.

Cheers,

Chris

Well done Des. Projects of this quality make this site a great value to anyone interested in WWI aviation and how to model it.

Ditto!  Now . . . what will The Master do for an encore?   ;)  Where does one go from the pinnacle?  The world is now your oyster, Des!

Des,
I'm away for only 8 days and you are done...........with a quality of work I couldn't even approach given 1000 days! What an absolutely impressive and beautiful example of the modeller's art! I agree with the previous comment, MUSEUM and world class work tip to tail. Well done!
Cheers,
Lance

   Des,
My old friend she's absolutely stunning and such an amazing beauty to behold. I'd happily refer to her as your latest Opus but I know full well after following your projects the next Opus will soon begin. So here's to another Opus in an ever growing line of Opus' . Congratulations my old friend and Well Done. What's the next project ?

Highest Regards,

I would like to thank everyone for the very kind comments, they are much appreciated.

I will be taking a break from scratch building for a little while and getting back to kit building, the next one will be the new 1:32 scale Bristol M1c in resin, my first resin build. It will be about two weeks before I recieve the kit so it will be a good chance for me to clean up my work area plus catch up on some yard work.

I'm going through all my WW1 aircraft information and trying to decide which scratch build to do next, there are so many wonderful aircraft that are not availabe as a kit, so my choice is virtually endless. I might even go with Jose's idea and do a twin engine beast.

My modeling philosophy is to build one model of each type, I have already built the Roden DH.2, the Battle Axe Eindecker and the Roden Sopwith Triplane, so I will wait to see what Wingnuts release next. As you know I only build 1:32 scale so my options are limited as far as kits go, that's why i was very excited to see the Alley Cat  Bristol M1c be released. I scratch built the Voisin III and the Jeannin Taube because I got a bit tired of waiting for manufacturers to produce a kit in 1:32 scale, there is a market out there for these two aircraft but for some reason the kit manufacturers are reluctant to make a move.
