That's a great start- I'm looking foward to seeing this one come together :)

Wonderful work Des,  mind-boggling actually.

Wondering what the covering will be? I suppose the original was slightly translucent CDL -- if so, have you thought about mimicking that somehow?

That's what I first thought when I saw all that nice frame detail- would be very cool to be able to see its shadow through the covering.

Excellent work as usual Des. Your complete  frame work may come to benefit the paint job, as light passing through the covering will pick up the structure.

Wonderful start, Sir. Though I have never taken  run at one (not even my Pegasus kit), I treasure my old 'Dove of War' monograph, and am very fond of these machines. It will be a pleasure to see you put one together.

Thanks guys for all your wonderful comments, I just hope that I can live up to your expectations and build something that resembles a Taube.  :-\

I have made the seat (not painted yet), the control column is made and painted, fuel tank is made but not painted, rudder bar is made and I am now in the process of wood graining the two bulkheads, these will take a few days to dry. In the mean time, I will make the three instruments and the switches, also the throttle quadrant. Once I finish all these items and fit them to the fuselage I will have some more photos to show (hopefully).  :)

Just a small update. Most of the internal fittings are now made and painted, still need to make the throttle quadrant and add a few control cables, the control column will be fitted next.

Truly superb craftsmanship, Des.  I think your scratchbuilds are your best models yet.

A small update on progress. I have completed the interior of the cockpit and observers pit, a small shelf was added to the bulkhead in the observers compartment, the fuel tank is fitted and the observers seat cushion is fitted to the top of the fuel tank. Control column is now glued in position and the associated rigging attached.
