Hi!
While I'm preparing the fuselage for painting I've tried a new method to paint the clear linen surfaces.
On my FE2b I've prayed a base coat of linen paint, then I've masked all the ribs and sprayed a slighlty darkned base color to give the illusion of transparencies.
It worked well, but it was impossible to judge the the contrast between the 2 shades before removing the masking, so often I had to correct the effect overspraying some base color to tone down the contrast.
This time I've done this:
1) I sprayed a white base
2) I've masked the ribs and structure details
3) I've sprayed black paint
4) Finally I've sprayed the linen color, in light passes, to achieve the correct contrast

I'm satisfied and I think that I'll use this technique and all the wings surfaces
