This is really coming together nicely - really great work!

I was skeptical on the very-flat looking die cut trolley wheel parts but what you have done with them it seems they can be made to look very good indeed. I also agree with the suspended floats looking better (and being correct for the provided decal schemes) - I am fairly frustrated they did not include these with the kit itself....

I wish to convey my many thanks to Przemol, Ian, Bob, Pietro, Martin, Ondra and Petrov for your extremely kind comments.

Like you Petrov I am also frustrated with the lack of certain parts of the kit. The floats not being available to suit both types is quite unforgiveable, also the lack of engine detail parts especially for an engine that is highly exposed. I will give a full account of the kit once I have mine completed, so far it has scored about 6/10.

Absolutely sublime, Des.  The kit may be a 6/10, but with your
knowledge and talents has become a 10/10!  Bravo, my friend!

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Thanks Ernie for your very kind comments.

The top wing and outer struts are now fitted, still need to add the cabane struts. I added the landing rigging to support the bottom wing and to maintain the dihedral, the top wing is quite heavy and adds a lot of weight to the bottom wing, the cabane struts will take some of the pressure off the bottom wing. I used monofilament for the landing rigging because I had to apply a lot of tension. Once I add the flying wires the wing will be centred.

I love it when the model is to such a fine scale that the rigging is not only a cosmetic addition for looks, but is actually functional to the integrity of the structure. Very nice!
