Looking great, that scheme is certainly an eye-catching one.

That is spectacular!  I think I've turned about that same shade of green with envy.  Can't wait to see it with the purple on.

Thanks, everyone!  It means a lot coming from you guys who make incredible machines.

I do think the purple will look nice.  With some fading, bombs, little details and brush painting, it will come alive.

After the purple, I'll paint on my markings and then start the weathering.

Cheers to all,

West Front Dan  :D

I do not know where I have been but I have only just caught up with this one. Are you SURE that is a vacuform? Those engines look incredible - and the wings are just amazing too. The paint scheme will really set this one off. No doubt about it Dan, you are the king of the vacuforms.

Here is the state of affairs.  I found a nice color called "Napoleon Violet" from the Model Master Enamel range.  Seems to be nice for this project.  Based on the WNW pictures, it seems really close.  My camo isn't as nice, but it looks pretty cool in 1/72nd.  Some weathering will bring it all together!

Next will be the markings.  I think I'll paint them on unless I can find some decals in the spares box!

Thanks for taking a peak... ;)

She looks fantastic, Dan!  I think you nailed this scheme.

Wait, I thought that war was fought in black and white?  ;)  Gorgeous paint, that's going to look fantastic when the engines and everything else are painted.
