Engines are on and the geometry is good enough for me  ::)  It actually looks really cool up close.

It's amazing when you look at pictures and try to figure out how the struts attach, it's all very confusing.  But when you actually start building them, cutting them to length and fitting, everything fits, makes complete sense and is incredibly strong.

This is why I like scratch building and doing vacs...you have to figure it out and learn so much along the way.  ;)

Man, I'm enjoying this build.  I'll only need to tweak the distance between the planes by cutting a tad off the cabanes...but this is coming along extremely well.

Thanks for looking,

Dan

Wow, Dan!  truly gorgeous work!  Unbelievable that this is 1/72 scale and a vac, to boot!  Brilliant!
Cheers,
Bud

Thanks, Martin and Bud!  Tonight I'll test fit the top wing and start painting the interior.  I think, for the exterior, it's going to be based on the test build you see on the WNW page...green with purple and dark green.  That will look cool next to my light blue Gotha and the lozenged Staaken  ;D

More soon and thanks for looking and commenting.

I got a bit of painting done.  I put a light blue bottom on, very light green overall and now I'm covering with my take on darker green and soon to be purple.  I like the colors on the WNW site so I'm doing my interpretation of that scheme.

I also put the base color of a light green/gray in the interior prior to some brush work.  More soon!
