Des, many thanks for moving the thread!
My apologies to all for the long time off the forum. Last weeks were very busy in the professional as well as personal area.
Some progress on the fuselage, it is almost ready for painting, I already applied the greyish green using the DB paints. The zinc white has very good covering, which is why the fuselage was really difficult to photograph - the white is too shiny.

Another consequence is that the greyish green appears rather dark on the photos.

As mentioned before, I used Bo's 3D printed Mercedes D.III engines, they are really excellent! I just added the exhaust painting it with Caput Mortuum and a coat of Prussian blue to simulate the burnt metal at the end of the exhaust.

For the wings I used DB paints as well, I want to take advantage of the translucent effects of Kraplak, that is why I took a bit more care than might be necessary. I tried to apply preshading on both side of the wings, on the upper side it will definitely disappear under the coat of red, but the contrast of varying base colours should remain visible.

Currently I am dealing with the radiator, so far I have not found yet a proper method to make it look the part.
Cheers
Ondra
