Thank you very much, Martin. ;)

Masking the tail was really difficult, eventually I used a combination of 0,4 mm masking stripes cut from Kabuki and the elastic Tamiya masking tape (great stuff, btw.) and Winsor and Newton masking fluid. The outlines should be a tick thinner, I assume, on the other hand I have to say I like the look of it. Rudder did not work out very well and will have to be repainted.

And here the base for the Edelweiss, the rest will have to be hand painted.

Lower wings almost finished and ready for weathering, I just added the inspection pannels.

Cheers

Ondra

Amazing! I once did a hand painted Eidelweis in 1/48th and it was a chore for me. Seeing you do one in 1/144th is AMAZING!

Many thanks for your nice comments, Martin, Rick and Des, they are highly appreciated!

Decals are in place, I tried to make a sort of "preshading" on the wooden part of the fuselage using aquarel crayons, afterwards I will smoothen them with wet brush to reduce the contrast. The wooden panels should not be really visible in this scale, therefore I would like to achieve very soft differences between the particular plywood panels.

The upper wing also got decals and I added the aileron fairings - they are not really visible on the photos, but they are there. :) Still thinking about the radiator, I might give it one more try and make a new one, I am not really happy with this one.

Cheers

I admire your quest for getting near perfection in this tiny scale. To me the wing, and radiator, look great! I am sure you will succeed no matter which way you go!

I have only just found this thread and I am totally amazed at what you have achieved in such a small scale. Looking at the photos this could be 1/48 without any problems - I find God's Own Scale small enough - I do not think either my eyes or patience could cope with the tiny detail that you put on.

Many thanks, Rick, Warren and Stephen, for your nice comments!

Some progress on the fuselage, woodgrain added and a few details made of self adhesive aluminium foil painted with DB greyish green.

The Edelweiss is really difficult, I have to paint details with a brush and so far the result does not look good at all. Maybe I will have to use a decal eventually.

Incredible work Ondra, even the fuselage wood grain looks to be in scale, amazing talent.

I am in complete awe of your work Ondra.  What
you have done in such a small scale is mind-boggling.
The wood-grain and how you did the inspection covers
are brilliant.  I look forward to the next updates, my friend.

Cheers,
Ernie :)
