Hi Rick:
You are a taking on quite the challenge with this kit and doing yeomans work. The pulley access panels really add to the kit, not a job for the faint hearted. I have this kit and would like to do it in McCuddens markings as well, but; for those pulley access panels, I may have started on it.
Looking good Rick and I will be checking in to see how you are coming along.
Best
Mark
Thanks Mark. I agree that the pulley inspection panels add a lot to the kit. On my original doomed SE5a Viper pictured earlier I drilled and cut out the area and scratch built my own pulleys. The resin and PE pieces really make this easier

Overall the Roden/Encore kit is really fairly nice. I just ordered the WNW SE and may add it to this build for comparison... after all There is APF Rhys Davids scheme that would go great with McCuddens

Looking great, Rick.

Ed
Thanks Amigo! I bet you are already missing that grandbaby!

Lovely work, Rick. For me the SE5a was a thoroughbred amongst aircraft and you are really doing it justice.
Best wishes
Nigel
Thanks Nigel. I agree that the SE was a Work Horse of aircraft!
