1/48 Eduard: Morane Saulnier type L Jean Navarre april of 1915
« on: December 18, 2014, 08:46:35 AM »
Hello this is the first ste by step in this wonderfull forum; by the way, it's my first step by step in English.
My English is quite poor and I'm afrais I won't always be able to say what I want.
If I don't know how to explain what I have done, I will just put the pic  ;)

I am doing the Jean Navarre's planes.

As I showed in my presentation I did two of them

the Morane saulnier type N (called bullet by the english if iI'm not wrong)

and his first Ni-11 "bébé", the n°576:

I will present them better in the "Completed models" section.

The plane I will do is Morane Saulnier type L
i will explain the historical context of this plane when I will present it at the "completed models" section
jist say thet Jean join the MS-12 the first french hunter squadron equiped with this plane. With that plane (n°27),  He won his first victory (the third of the french army)

However,  here is the kit, the old Eduard. As far as I know, there is another one in resin and another one vacuformed.

those kits show the progress Eduard made  ;)

well the mout have officialy started!

Xan

Great job Xan associated with a very interesting story.
You should try EZ line for the internal rigging. It's very easy to use and well adapted for quarter scale.
Cheers

Hello to all,
Very good beginning my friend. As Pierre, I think you should use EZline. If you want, I can order to WnW during my next ordering.  ;)
Friendly.

Hello xan
I know that you love difficulties. Is it really a model to rest you ?
The cutting of the wood fuselage is quite strange and complicated.
I will follow you, I am sure it will be magic

Do you use "Piment d'Espelette" for the weathering? ;)
Excellent job as usual with you! Cheers.

Hello!

You should try EZ line for the internal rigging.

You were right Pierre and the result is much better then with the photoetched rigging!

I will follow you
I hope so, that's why in part I decide to do the step by step in this forum  ;)

The cutting of the wood fuselage is quite strange and complicated.
You are right, this wood fuselage is a non sens in the upper side...
I will follow you
I hope so, that's why in part I decide to do the step by step in this forum  ;)

here what it looked like

(pic taken in the step by step of the superb parasol of Edo)
http://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=794.0

anyway the photoetched is a little bit to large for the fuselage, the plastic of the fusselage is very very thick and I 'm thinking that I could take the same way than Edo and rebuild the fuselage...
I have to think a little more...
