Hello Ernie, Bud, Des and Rick,

Thank you my friends for the (too) nice comments on my build. It helps me tremendously to get through this rather difficult build!

Ernie:     If I beat the "Dragon", it will be much thanks to our mini group build where I learned so much from you my dear friend!

Bud:       Thank you my friend, I am still thinking this Ni 28 was my best build to date. Thank you for your continued support!

Des:       Your wonderful comments are so much appreciated, I wished I had your talents my friend, it would certainly help me in this build!

Rick:       I will certainly reconsider the order of installation of the wings. Thank you for your excellent advice and kind words my friend!

Kind regards
Patrick

Patrick, I want to re-emphasize that I have not built this kit! Don't go by my advice without thinking of your own plan, ( I know you have one), and other builds. You have been doing just fine without my construction methods  ;D

Hello Rick,

My plan was to first fix the lower wings, so that I could still move them upwards/downwards. That means I can't have a nice fit against the fuselage at first. When installing the upper wing first I wouldn't have that problem so much. So I am still undecided what to do. But I never neglect the advice from a great modeler as you are my friend!  :D

Kind regards
Patrick

http://scalemodels.ru/modules/forum/viewtopic_t_36534_start_340.html - Look here how to cope with wings. I've done this too and Nieuport faced this problem.

Hello Siskin,

I now have been going through the hole build of the link you gave me, and I must say that this is an unbelievable build and of the highest level. Everyone should see this! It is such a shame that I couldn't read what is written. And I am a bit ashamed of what I could only make of this kit.

Kind regards
Patrick

It does not matter that they could not read)) We say - it is better to see once than hear a hundred times. And the photos in my theme a lot! I hope they will help you.

Patrick, You have nothing to be ashamed of on your build! We all work at our own level and though it is good to learn from others it doesn't make what we do any less! I am amazed at how great your build is looking! Keep up the great work!

Hello Rick,

Thank you my friend, you are always behind me with kind words about my builds! And what you say is so right, instead of comparing I should be learning out of it. I was so overwhelmed with what I've seen that I started to panic a bit. I need people like you to bring me back in business then!  :D

Kind regards
Patrick

Hi all,

The camo-painting on the Nieuport is finished. I used Tamiya-mixes for the camo. The cockpit cowling is Humbrol Alu Metal. All is covered with a clear coat. Next phase will be decaling, machine gun mounting and preparing wings for rigging and adapt the pre-drilled holes to the real situation. Thank you for passing by.

Kind regards
Patrick

Excellent paintwork! The masking of the color separations and the colors themselves are terrific! Beautiful!

Hello Przemo, Rick and Bob,

Thank you very much for the nice comments and Merry Christmas to you all!

Przemo:      After your magnificent camo on the Salmson, this is an honour for me. Still I like your softer colours much more.

Rick:           Thank you my friend for your as usual kind words. They are very encouraging for me! One day I hope to acquire your painting capacities

Bob:            Thank you, nice to hear the appreciation from a great artist

Kind regards
Patrick

Hello, Patrick,

I seem to be showing up late to the party!

Looks good so far! Keep up the good work!

You, and all the gents who are weighing in on this particular kit's problems, are sure helping those of us who plan to build it at some point. Many thanks!

Cheers from NYC,
Michael

Hello Michael,

Thank you very much for your kind words! It is not what we call a "wild party" but it is enjoyable nevertheless. The Roden kits are not bad at all, rather well detailed. The main problem for me with Roden was always the closing of the fuselage and somehow this has some repercussions during the whole build. I must admit though that maybe for a beginner like me, there is much more to learn in such a kit than in a WnW build. Merry Christmas!

Kind regards
Patrick

Simply gorgeous paint work, Patrick!  I love the effect of painting the camo over aluminum.  Perfect.
Cheers,
Bud
