Excellent work on a challenging kit Patrick!  I really like the way she looks.  I shared your experience with the wings on my Nieuport 27, and have the new gray hairs to prove it!  Your camo colors look particularly sharp and pleasing.  Very well done, and way to hang in there. ;D

Cheers & huzzas,

Bob

Hello Patrick:

This is not one of Roden's better releases.  You did an outstanding job on this kit.  I have started and worked on this many times, only to relegate back to the box from whence it came.  I doubt I will ever finish.  However, yours and others here have inspired me to at least get it done.  One of these day.
Your paint work is excellent and you managed to get the alignment spot on.

Best
Mark

Mark, thank you for your kind words my friend. I sincerely hope that you will take it out of the box again and show us your wonderful talents with it.

Thank you so much Bob. Nothing but good words from so many talented modelers and that is more than I expected with this build. Most happily last year when I started modeling my hairs were already completely gray! :D I still wonder how WnW would resolve the  problem for the lower wing fixing, but I fear we will never find out my friend.

Really nice job on the Nieuport.  Those late style Nieups always seemed a lot more elegant to me than the 17s, etc.

I applaud your efforts Patrick and I am delighted to see such a nice looking model. Reading of all the issues you had throughout the build I was expecting are far less a looking model, but what you have created here is stunning with a spectacular scheme. Apart from the unfinished tail rigging it looks as good as any model I have seen, well done Patrick and congratulations for pushing on with the build, the sign of a true talented modeler.

Patrick, I cannot add anything here that hasn't been said already, but you've overcome so many difficulties with this build. I would have given up on it a long time ago.

Thank you for your kind words. You are right and I think that the Nieuport 28 exceeds in elegance and beautiness.

Thank you so much Des for these really kind comments. Coming from you it even makes it more pleasant to hear. It was a very fruitful Nieuport year for me with the Ni 28c, Bébé, Ni 16c and now the Ni 24. I am glad I persevered when things went wrong.

Thank you so much Warren for your kind words and following the build! Much appreciated my friend

Thank you Scott for your appreciation, coming from a great modeler!

Wow Patrick! What a beautiful result despite incredible problems with this kit's engineering. A real tribute to your skills and patience, nicely done!
Cheers,

Hi Lance,

Thank you my friend for your very kind words. Patience I have and was needed here.  :o My skills have to improve a lot still. What I am happy for is that till now I didn't give up on any model I started. But from what I see on this forum with all these magnificent builds and famous modelers, is that I have a long way to go!

Kind regards
Patrick

Well done :) Perhaps too clean for me but it's just my opinion. I like dirty aircrafts  ;D
However your work is very good.

Thank you very much Dol. As you, I like the weathering on those a/c done by so many great modelers. I have not reached that stage yet. I am concentrating on doing the build and try to obtain a decent painting. I am still learning and weathering will be done when I am able to do the basics right. But I also like a clean a/c as coming out of the factory.

Kind regards
Patrick

And it could be more difficult to build a brand new aircraft. With the weathering you could hide a default and actually it's what I'm doing  ;D
