ScaleModelWorld Telford 2014
« on: October 25, 2014, 09:39:16 PM »
Hello Al,

Is anyone else off to Telford on the 8th and 9th November?

I'm already compiling a shopping list. This will include the new Eduard SS D.III, various books I'm after, including some Datafiles, together with things from friends at AVIATTIC, Pheon and Gaspatch with a reserve fund for any surprise releases.

Best wishes
Nigel

Nigel, You lucky Devil you! Don't forget to keep enough aside to get back home afterwards, could be a long walk if you completely lose control of your financial resources! ;)
Cheers,
Lance

Sorry to say I've been grounded for that weekend, I even had to cancel my trade stand The Base 2B on account that my 65  Birthday falls on that weekend and I'm not aloud to leave home  >:( All I can say it had better be the best surprise party ever or my family will never hear the end of it . It should be one of the best model shows this year, so to all who able to go have a great time .

I'm wondering whether or not I should go. I've already got a pile of 14 kits to build - do I need to go to a show where I'll be tempted to buy more?  ???

This is one show I would dearly love to attend, but it is a bit more than a hop - skip and jump from my place   :(

Same for me, but as compensation I have the first TVAL flying weekend for the season coming up on 29th and 30th November. I hope someone will take some photos and give us a show report?

I agree with Jamo, I hope someone takes a camera to let us poor souls who can't attend an insight into what's new.

I'll take a camera and try and get a few photos. As I'm not returning to France until the following Monday evening it could be a day or two before I can post anything.

Best wishes

I'll be at Telford Saturday and Sunday morning helping out on a trader stand. I'll will hopefully be able to get round the show with the camera at some point and will post up any relevant photos when I get back home.

On the Monday we are going to the Tower of London to see the poppies so it will be later in the week before the photos get sorted, posted etc. We are taking the roundabout route home.....

One question... Do you need to be a member of the society to attend, or is it open to anyone?
