Bristol Scout C (1/72, MAC Distribution)
« on: October 13, 2014, 04:53:55 AM »
Completed! My rendition of Bristol Scout C 1611, flown in July 1915 in Sqn.6 by Cpt. Lanoe Hawker. Shooting down three enemy aircraft (one in flames) in it brought him Victoria Cross - the first such a distinction for an airman.

The original MAC kit required a lot of modifications as depicted in the build log:

Stunning!!! I reduced the images to get a feel of the real size in 1/72 and that just amplified my admiration.

A Stunning and absolutely Beautiful build! Awesome to say the least. Everything is terrific, construction, painting/ weathering, just perfection in any scale!

Prez, this is a fantastic build. Weathering, rigging, construction....realy everything is absolutley convincing.
A model thrives on its overall impression and not on that every little disagreement over the original is hyped up as a disaster

I don't think I shall ever see
as beautiful a Scout as thee

 ;)

Really well done Prez. Love the delicate shading around ribs and longerons etc and exhaust staining.
Thanks for the whole build log, all really inspiring for the One True Scale modellers

Cheers

Thanks, Wolf and Jamo, for your kind comments.

And special thanks to Wolf for bringing my attention to PhotoScape software with which I was able to improve the quality of the photos.
