Sorry I'm late to the party, Terri.  This is one excellent build you've got going on a kit we seldom see built- marvelous attention to detail inside and out and I applaud your dedication toward getting all of the plastic parts together smoothly. This little putty hog appears to be coming together beautifully in your highly capable hands!

I'm not a fan on the use of PE parts , but they do aid in some of the details and I'm trying to avoid on using as much as possible and rather opt for making these details myself or at least what my skill set will allow me to do .

I wholly agree with you Terri as I too do not like or use PE. Your skill set is one to be envious of so I am sure that the details will be every bit as good when you finish adding them. I am really enjoying following this thread and watching how you add all of those tiny details.

No need to be sorry Sir . Folks are welcomed anytime ! Glad you are enjoying the build so far , it has had a few challenges but nothing which really held me back once I sat down and worked out it in my head . Not much putty actual , over all fit isn't bad until you get to the gun deck and cowl  :'(

Thanks LM , but I don't think my skills are something to be envious of when I see the work which all you guy's do , just mind blowing .

Not much more detailing on the airframe then it engine is up next and I must say . my work is cut out for me ...

Really not much progress , but I guess some is better than nothing . The rolled lip has been added to the cowl . I need to prime this and see how well I did and if I need to redo it . In the end I ended up replace the gun deck access panels using 0.5 card and PE hard ware . Drilled holes don't look right when this detail is raised so at the moment this is all I got . Cowl chips are also added . Now it is off to doing the rib tapes . Does feel nice on getting closer with spray the first coat of primer ...

It's those little touches that you add to your models that make all the difference Terri. Nicely done!

Cheers,

Chris
