Hi Terri

Great to see this little bird again and I see you have made fantastic progress too.

Hi guy's , thanks for dropping by and leaving encouraging mojo !

LM , for the rib tapes I have a spot on my cutting mat with makes made so when I'm cutting the tapes I can stay consistent when I remember to use it . Most times it is just eyed balled  ;)

The main wings got spray with thinned Mr.Surface 1000 . After the first coat I realized that this is too thin and I switched to Mr. Surface 500 instead . I do recommend that one wear a mask when spraying this stuff . Strings will forum on the leading and trailing edges of the wings and there is fine dust which forums in the air as well . Don't worry about the string effect . this will sand or rub off with ease .

Once dried the surfaces got sanded down too smooth out the putty while also polishing the surface . Control surface I used future , giving a total of three coats . These are still drying .

Thanks Martin  8)

Here is where I'm at with the cab struts so far . The one on the left is before filling and sanding the joins . One on the right is the finished product waiting primer and paint .

I used contrail strut using the Eduards one as a template added 2mm in length . Center part of the N strut is the same length as the in the kit .

Terri , so close to the priming and painting stage , I can taste it !

Okay , didn't get the paint laid down on here . Missed a few details . Those four little rivet heads on the fuselage side took me over a hour to get them in place . Had a hard time holding them with the tweezers and placing them in their holes . Went through 12 of them . Carpet monster was well feed the other day and should be good for awhile .

Hi Terri:

Talk about "Painstaking" detail.  Your efforts are paying off.  You don't see too many of the SSW D.III's and your will be a beaut.   Looking forward as you move down the home stretch.

Best
