Thanks guys for all your wonderful comments, they are very much appreciated.

Just a small update this time. I made all the bits and pieces for the bottom wing mount and incident adjusting mechanism, it may look a little fragile but it is quite a strong assembly. The first photo shows the components while the next photo shows it assembled and mounted to the aircraft.

This is a close-up of the undercarriage suspension set-up, quite different to a usual bungee cord wrapped around the axle.

This is a masterwork Des! Your fabrication, incorporation and use of small metal fittings and bolts, etc., is really quite remarkable and extremely realistic--looks great too!

What are the gearboxes on the incident adjusting mechanism made from? Thanks! This is sublime modeling.

The lower V shaped housing is made from styrene sheet while the small top one is brass sheet. The gears are from watch/clock parts. The main large support which mounts to the fuselage is made from 1.0mm thick styrene sheet with 0.5mm copper wire fitted for the mounting brackets, these were flattened and a 0.3mm hole drilled, I used a 0.3mm brass pin to secure them to the fuselage with CA.

I am in awe of your work, Des. While the total view of the fuselage is amazing...the wood

Somehow I didn't follow this topic as the subject Battaille isn't very appealing to me. But now I went through 8 pages and I must say that you have produced a tremendous scratch built sofar. It is becoming a really stunning model of a very rare plane.

I can only admire and praise your scratchbuilding skills.

The engine for this plane was an inverted Gregoire-Gyp 40hp water cooled 4 cylinder type. This engine had the unusual aspect of having all four cylinder enclosed within a cooling jacket. The only reference material I have are three very blurry photos so a lot of the build will be guess work. Here is the engine so far, the box sitting on top of the engine appears to be an oil tank, I still need to add a few pipes. Next job is to make the cooling jacket to encase the cylinders. The propeller I have sitting on the engine is not the one Ihat I will be using on this model.
