Hello Dal and Rick,

Thank you for your much appreciated advice and your nice comments. Indeed I already have closed the fuselage and I remebered having read that it was so difficult closing the fuselage and then incorporating the cockpit, so I first glued the interior and then closed the fuselage. Even then it wasn't easy to pull back the cockpit far enough to have a good fit of the firewall. I even had to place the tank a bit further. Here are the results.

Good progress, Patrick!  It looks like you wrestled the cockpit into position just fine.
I like the idea of mapping out your painting beforehand. I think it helps by drawing it
out first.  I'm looking forward to your next bits.  Nice progress, my friend!

I made some progress on the Nieuport. I painted the camo, put on the undercarriage and mounted the cabane struts. Thank you for stopping by.

The undercarriage was mounted with the little jig :





I made a little jig for mounting the cabane struts. In the base plate 4 holes corresponding with the holes on the upper wing. Then i mounted 2 cubes forming right angles with the plate and the struts are upside down fixed with tape against the cubes with the pins in the holes of the base plate. Then the jig is placed upside down on the a/c.









After glueing the result looks like that







The aligment looks decent, the holes in the upper wing match the pins of the struts

Thank you so much, it's really nice to have you along. And you know the kit very well don't you. The difficult thing is to correctly tape the struts against the cubes. Once this is done, it's really a helpfull little jig. Thank you my friend.
