Very nice decaling, a perfect job for the lighter tone of yellow to be quite smooth.

Cheers

Thanks Zabu! Yes the lozenge decals are a nice surface for the Yellow overspray!

Beautiful work, Rick.  If my models come out as good as yours, I would
be some proud!  Lovely job and I look forward to the next photos.  They
will be a great reference when I finally get to my D.VII.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Ernie,
Thanks for your overgenerous and somewhat modest comments! Your Nieuport is excellent and you need not play second  Fiddle to anyone!

Here are some photos of where I am today. I painted all of the Nose panels yellow prior to assembling. I will mask around the upper portion of the side panels and shoot one more coat on the sides. In addition I figured while I was painting the panels why not lay down an initial coat on the tail. I figure one more coat will get me where I want on the overspray? Opinions? Upper tail is what I am asking... The paint is Mister Kit Jasta 10 Yellow. I plan to use acouple of others as well.

Wow! Rick, this is going to be a dandy.  Your paintwork looks just right.  It
is such fun watching a model come together in the hands of such a talented
modeller.  Thank you for your artistry, my friend.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Thanks Amigo #1! I like the Mister kit paint, and also My OLD Monogram Pro Modeler Yellow, which I plan to use also for a slight variation. I am also going to do some Pre Shading with Tamiya smoke.... I hope it goes well

Thanks My Amigo, I am busy gluing panels on the lower fuselage and finding several glitches I have created. All in all sometimes I miss the days of gluing two fuselage halves together around an engine of sorts and calling it good  :o
