An excellent start Rick and those reverse lozenge decals look fantastic, you have also done a great job with the interior.

The decals are really something, Rick.  I don't think you could ask
for a more realistic look.  Carry on with the great work!

You are just motoring along Rick. Are the interior bits just press-fit? Will you add the rigging to the interior?
Those decals are just the bomb. I can see selling off some stash just to add some funding towards decals like these.

Thanks Mike, and yes just press fit right now. I will add the rigging for the Framework, instrument dial face, and a couple of wires still needed on the stick  ;D

Hi Rick,
stunning work on the interior, those decals are amazing. It reminds me on Uschi's decals where you also have to take attention about the right color and pre shading. Do you have to cut them to the right size before applying?
Thanks for sharing your pics, looking forward.

Coming along nicely Rick!
Remember, soak backing paper in warm water, let decals slide off paper - don't force them - and apply to wetted gloss white surface, then tease out bubbles.

Looking forward to your next posting!

Regards, Richard   (see also "Hints and Tips" page of our website www.aviattic.co.uk)

Thanks Richard for the Tips! I experimented with a VERY light beige, almost white. For the wings I am going with the recommended gloss white with a little(very little) rib pre shading. Like I said, even on the Pre Production Paper, the decals slid off onto the wetted surface with no problems.

Aviattic/Richard has many different offerings including Cookie cutter decals for the wings of the DVII ( I will be using those). As for the interior I used the WNW decals as a pattern to cut them to shape!

Hi Rick:

I am getting back into the forum as the weather is heading south and the motorcycle is all but put away.  I have a stalled DVII on the bench and your work is inspiring me to get back at it.  As always Rick, your work is stellar and the Aviatic decals, well, they look great!  So many great aftermarket products now for the 1/32nd WWI Modeler.  I will be following your build and look forward to your updates.

Best
