I am attaching my color choices. Polyscale French Chestnut Brown, Polyscale French Khaki, Floquil  Middlestone, and Aeromaster nakajima Interior Grey Green.
What do you think?

Ai ai ai... it's so hard to opine. :P

From what i can see (didn't calibrate my lappy screen color) the first image looks a little bit darker.

I'll "vote" that first one... looks like the perfect color for that 1/32 scale and a nice margin to weathering.

Woot you people think?

Cheers

Thanks for your opinion Zabu! In actuality the colors are the same in both photos. I posted 2 because the light made them look a little different so I figures other modelers would have a better idea of the colors I have chosen. So far I have heard no objections so I will probably go with those listed.

I have begun the initial painting process. I have laid down the Light green and beige. Next is the Dark green. The photos show my simple method of using Silly Putty to mask the camouflage demarcations.

Good choice of colours, Rick. The Nieuport is really starting
to look good.  I'm anxious to see more of your progress.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Here are a series of pictures from the painting process. One nice thing about Silly Putty Masking is that as long as the paint is surface dry there are no worries about lifting any previous coats. So... it goes quickly. Just a little touch up and on to the pastels and rib tape effect, then the undersurfaces.

I like the French camouflage. Nicely purely painted, will be a postshading?

Thanks Jacek! Yes there will be some post shading. Pastels to represent rib tapes, and some oil washes on other parts.

RAGIII,

Coming along nicely - good kit from Roden, this one.  How do you plan on doing the rigging?
