You're a model building machine Rick! Nice work my friend.

Cheers,

Chris
Thanks Chris, I appreciate your comments! As for the Modeling Machine, If/when I complete this one it will be the most models in 1 year since @ 1990  :-[ DVII, Sopwith  and 28. And I still have 4 months left  :-X

Rick, your paint and rib shading looks first rate!  I really like your colors and paintwork.  This is shaping up into a beautiful representation of a graceful aeroplane. ;D  I will use your log as a guide when I get around to my own Ni. 28.  Thanks!

Regards,

Bob

Bob,
Thank you for your comments and interest in my build, they are appreciated!! I hope you continue to find my log useful, but remember there are a couple more logs on building this aircraft that certainly deserve attention!
RAGIII

Very nice it starts to look.

Thanks Jacek, Next up is the rib effect on the upper surfaces.

Rick, popped in for a peek, and you are giving me a first rate look at a very good build. This is a Roden kit I may buy, and your build is a great tutorial. Great job on the cammo with the putty.

Mike,
Thanks for dropping in! This kit and others by Roden are really not as bad as advertised! Yes , more work than WNW, No, Not Fatally Flawed!!!! The 28 is certainly one of the best in both 1/48th and 1/32nd! JMHO etc....

The latest update from my days off: The Major markings have been applied. The upper wing rib tape effect done with pastels, and the fuselage ribbing for the light green and dark green has been picked out using a darker green oil between the ribs.

Hello Rick:

Looking good.  I like the subtle rib shading.  I will have to try the silly putty method of painting.  As mentioned I have one of these in the stash and it doth beckon as do the rest.

Looking forward to seeing you progress to completion on this one.

Best

Mark
