You are making good progress, Andi.  No fear of not having enough support for
the wing. ;D  Necessity being the mother of invention, eh?  I really like the weathering
on the cowling.  I'm looking forward to the next update.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Hi Andi.

Your Morane its quite nice! It will a very reference to my braille one!

I enjoy the detail of the cockpit and the weathering of black forward section, although i'll make mine red.

Cheers

Looks good...I'd consider using AK worn effect or similar stuff on the cowling.

Ta'dah!! ............. you all thought I'd given up didn't you??

Well, sorry I know I'm slow ... it just seems to be the way I build nowadays - what between life and all the things I must do in order to be a responsible adult ... the last thing I need is the kids to have me down "Happy Acres" before my time.

Anyhoo ............. I digress [as usual] ............. but a small update. Got the flappy bits on, had a play with the notion of rigging [around the tail]. Must get that muck on the roundels a bit more subtle - the camera is merciless isn't it.
I shall now throw her on her back [if I can remember how] and make a start on the underside rigging etc.

So, as I said - pretty slow, but the confidence is gaining - figured out a few things too. struggling to keep the job clean as I work with it ... but I brush painted the acrylic clear coats earlier and it gets quite sticky [and grubby] as I handle it. I'm guessing that stuff needs to be airbrushed on to get the best effect?

I am actually resisting the temptation to start  the RNAS Pup [WNW] - and this more because I'm all excited with a picture I've seen of one on a take off platform - don't knock it? It's a good a way of making a choice as any!! - Plus the Pup looks to be a simplish project ... I hope.

Anyway ... on with the Morane for the time being................. see ya'.
KBO ............. Andi.

This is looking really nice Andi, though I fear that if we had a competition based around the slowest completion of any model, I'd be hovering around a medal position.

Well done so far.

Best wishes
Nigel

Very well done so far! I really like the black on the cowling, perfect in my opinion! Looking forward to seeing this one rigged.

Looking very nice Andi, take your time and enjoy. Nigel, I'm afraid you'd lose the competition on slow Builds, check out the start and stop times on my McKeever Bif! ::)

Nice model, Andi. Looking forward to seeing the rigging.
I bought this kit, too, and on the decal sheet the two MS logos were missing. They are, however, mentioned in the drawings.
I searched the net but could not find any. A few weeks later I ordered decals for another kit that needed French decals. Luckily for
me, the decal sheet had decals for several airplanes, one of them being a Morane-Saulnier. It had the MS logo on it and by the look
of it, in the correct size for the 1:32 MS-N.

Are the MS logos on your decal sheet? If not, are you going to try to find some? If you find them, please let us know where you
found them.
Morane-Saulnier put their round MS logo on just about every airplane they ever built, so I defininately would want them on my model.

Cheers,

Erik.

It's looking great Andi, nice update.

I'll be happy if mine 1/72 one gets "1/72 as good" when the time comes. The black paint job on the cooling it's really amazing.

Cheers

Hello Andi,

I did not follow your build as I was not yet on the forum at that time. You made a fantastic build. The interior is lovely and your painting wonderful. Many congratulations.

Kind regards
Patrick

Looking really smart Andi, I love the black you used on the nose and spinner, very realistic.

Looking great Andi..

I get that problem too with the varnish - I'm using the Alclad light sheen, which is lovely, but after lots of handling it goes a bit tacky and then can rub off making a dirty mess! Bit of a pain really - I had to remove it all with white spirit (it's not acrylic) on the Snipe and start again..

Keep up the good work though..

Well, there's a surprise! - many thanks everyone for your generous remarks. I don't fish for compliments - but these are truly most welcome. Struggling with it as you know ... as much for its unfamiliarity as anything: a scale change isn't helping, and all my once common modelling ground has disappeared.
But! ... it is starting to look remarkably like an aeroplane, and although the photo's they do flatter to deceive, I am relatively pleased with how it's coming out so far.

Eric ............... you're not the first person to mention the missing logo's. And I thought about it for quite some time, but this is a sacrificial build - my first airyplane for fifty years probably. So, if you look closely at the cowling in the photo's you'll see my solution.

Two bolt holes and a circle of clean paint ............................ some buggers nicked 'em! And trust me - if you lived round our way that fact wouldn't even raise an eyebrow. ............... Just an anecdotal solution to a problem that wasn't destroying me intellectually anyway...................... If I bring anything to these pages it will be a hopefully endearing laissez-faire.

You're doing a super job on the Morane, Andi.  I'm so happy that your
airbrush woes are pretty much behind you.  Your paint shows your talents
and your weathering looks just right.  I look for more updates as your
project nears completion.  Great work, my friend!

Cheers,
Ernie :)
