I feel your pain. The same thing happened to me after returning from vacation. I got rid of the cabinet and purchased a new one. Repaired all of them but still need to repair rigging on the Ago C.IV. A chance to practice my repair skills.
Cheers RVP

Shelf supports are now fixed in this cabinet and repairs have started . . .
I've actually had this very same accident happen to me twice over the years so really feel your pain .........
Regards
Dave
Thanks Dave, appreciate it although good chance to practice my repair skills I'd rather be building something new if I'm honest

I'm so sorry to hear about the shelf collapse! What terrible luck. Your models are beautiful - I have a couple of questions about them: what's the background on the Albatros D.V with the Star of David on the side? Do you know which Jasta it was from? And the Hannover CL.II -- what's your source material for this bare plywood machine (a great subject for a modeler!).
Best wishes,
Jason
Appreciate it Jason, but soon have them back looking spic and span again . . .

The DV is from Jasta 12. Pilot's name is as yet unconfirmed. There was a Micro scale decal sheet with this aircraft on it in a slightly later guise with a black tail and nose, but I found a picture of what looks like the same aircraft on the internet whilst trawling for schemes in which the tail has not yet been painted and, since I wanted to practice my painted wood effects, I decided on this slightly different version. There were several german aircraft that used the same star which crop up from time to time (I'm sure others will chip in with the pilots names)
The 'Hannover' is actually an LVG VI which probably explains the confusion about the scheme (lots of these with bare wood fuselages)
Good news is the repairs have started and the Floh is now sitting pretty again.
Using brass for the struts is a real bonus since the undercarriage was easily straightened and repainted with a new axle replacing the old one (now with added bungee cords)

. The port wing struts also had a slight kink which was straightened and retouched in situ without affecting the rigging and the tail skid needed a tweak with pliers to get it back to the correct shape. Only the undercarriage wires needed replacing

The other one I've started to repair is the old DR1 (my first model) Every strut was broken or bent and needed replacing along with the undercarriage, so this one is in for a full refit and will appear is a slightly different guise sometime soon
