Cheers Zac  ;D
Finding the time to get any modelling done is a struggle at the moment (We've all been there), but eventually got around to sorting this one out  :P

It's the third model rebuilt after the great glass shelf disaster. Because this one was pretty much a full rebuild I decided to change the scheme (Sorry Nigel, you'll now need a new label)  ;).
It's now a model of Hans Besser's aircraft (Jasta 12) In photo's at their airfield in Mesnil these show them to be rather war weary (The white cowls appearing a dirty matt grey is some pictures) Unsurprising really since some were probably cast offs from Staffeln 13 & 19 when they upgraded and they were still in service in mid June 1918 in spite of problems with poor quality oil and well worn engines.
Just spotted in a close up photo that I still need to add a rear view mirror and Morell airspeed indicator on the wing strut, but for the moment it's back in the cabinet. Markings from the spares box or cut from decal sheet and the streaking is done using acrylic paint.

Nice repair job and a good choice of scheme, a bit different. The streaking turned out really well.

Not allowed on the SIG table until it has a rear view mirror and airspeed indicator though..... ;) ;D

Cheers Nigel (Only realised that I had a set of Pheon decals for this one after I'd finished it) ::)
Will make sure I've added the extra details before bringing it out in public  ;) ;D

Well done on yet another repair, and a nice choice of markings. She certainly has the war weary look! Great stuff!

Good work Paul! It was wise to begin with the relatively easy ones.
The V.23 and Floh looked simple enough to fix, the Dr.I is looking great in its new markings.

Super restoration.I bet you think that perhaps the great glass shelf disaster may have had a silver lining after all.

The last three are tricky, but for the moment I've decided to press on with some new stuff and other projects that have been hanging about. Will revisit the repair shop when I've regained a bit of mojo for them  8)

It's certainly a way of learning some new skills (although I wouldn't recommend it) ;) Quite like how this one turned out in the end; who knows there may be another one or two on the horizon (A mate from the club display joked that I will have built more Dr1's than there were originally . . . )
