WnW 1/32 Jeannin Stahltaube (1914)
« on: May 19, 2023, 12:10:03 AM »
My WnW Jeannin Stahltaube is now complete and I wanted to share a few of the final photos here. My build log is at this link:

https://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=13758.0

In summary I have to say it was a tricky build, with thrills and spills galore. Lots of rigging, and handling such a large bird with all of the delicate bits sticking out all over the place certainly needed a careful, well thought out approach, which I had most of the time  ::)

But the completed model is such an interesting looking example of early WW1 aircraft, and was a nicely engineered kit. For those interested, I'm putting together a write-up for Military Illustrated Modeller magazine where I can touch on all aspects of the project.

Cheers,
Gary

Gary -

This is up to your usual very high standards - and what a beauty!

The build may have been demanding but this is not evident in your completed model.

Another masterpiece, Gary. Congratulations.
As you say, the physical handling of such a large delicate structure adds yet another aspect of difficulty but you have overcome all triumphantly.

Excellent in all aspects Gary! This really captures the essence of early aviation. I like the color scheme very much with the CDL wings and solid color fuselage. A real pleasure to see your work.  Thank you for sharing.
