Putting the Do 17 canopy disaster aside I went ahead with some work on the Me 110. Flat finish applied as well as canopies attached. Final oil work and attaching the small parts is all that remains:

That looks very sharp!! Nice job. I'm sure the Do17 problem can be rectified. Airfix seems responsive to these situations.

Thanks Steve. I am working on a couple of things that I hope will solve the canopy issue. One includes Airfix spare parts. The other is a Squadron Vac Form that May or May Not work! On the positive side I finished working on the Eduard Bf 110.

PS: I just realized it's not done until I do the Antenna Wires!

Super Bf 110 Rick.

I do hope that you can find a repacemet canopy for the Do 17 as that model too is really shaping up well.

Stephen.

Stephen.

Thanks Stephen!  I also hope Airfix comes through with a replacement, as I was very pleased with My progress! In the Meantime I have the Squadron vac form one on the way. I know it will need  some work to get it to fit. ( If that is even possible)  ::)

Thanks for commenting Andreas and Brad!

The 110 had its antenna mast relocated to the proper position ( yep I screwed up originally) and the wire added. The DO17 is progressing although I still haven't resolved the broken/crushed canopy part on the fuselage side. I glued the parts in place with white glue for the painting process. The other canopy parts are masked with an Eduard mask set. A bit of pre shading overpainted with My RLM 65 mix using Tamiya paints.

PS: There May be some other BoB builds in the works,,,

Looking good Rick.

Good to see the Gladiator represented in the collection even though they were only 2nd line aircraft at the time.

Thanks Stephen. The Gladiator was one of the Twelve Detailed in the book so I had to do one  8) This will actually be My second Gladiator having done  HP-B in 1/48th scale. I now only lack 4 of the Aircraft in the Book.
1. Ju88
2. He 1111
3.Beaufighter 1F
4. Hawker Hurricane Mk.1

The camo paint on the 110 looks very good.  Good work on the BoB subjects.  You seem to have a string of them going at the moment.  I don't recall seeing many Dornier Do17 models built.  Looking for ward to seeing yours, as well as the Ju88.

The 110 looks superb Rick!  Good to see you working on multiple builds, and BoB is an excellent theme.  I, too, have detoured a bit into WWII builds recently, although in 1/48 (although I pop back to 1/32 WWI now and again).  I wonder how many folks here build in multiple genre?

I hope you’re having fun with these, which is the whole point.  Enjoy yourself, and we’ll look forward to more of your inspiring work, whatever the subject!  Well done.

Best regards,

Bob
