@Allan, Tim, Nigel and Radarman, thank you for your kind comments

When I started building the Albatros at the time, I sanded off all the fittings and screw heads on the Fuselage in my zeal.
So I also sanded down the step flap with the horseshoe-shaped frame on the outside.
I wanted to reproduce these details with an etched parts set ..... which of course is no longer commercially available.
I still had the frame fitting on the outside as an etched part, but not (any more) the ribbed flap itself.
Here I had to use a thin plastic plate made of 0.13 Evergreen material.
The only problem was - how do I make the fluting on the flap?
The solution was quite simple - if you have the right pliers in the drawer.
The fluting of the cheeks was a perfect match for embossing the small flap.
Cutting it to the right size and contour with scissors was then child's play.
The frame on the outside had to be adjusted slightly to the Albatros fuselage contour and that was it.
Nothing is glued in the pictures, the flap itself is still unpainted.
