Part two:

Here is the last picture, the ignition switch installed in the cockpit on the left cockpit rail.
The small toggle switch is clearly visible. The copper wire was annealed and flattened with pliers so that it looks similar to the original.
And yes, this thing is really tiny.  ;D

That was it for today.
See you soon.

The next instrument in the cockpit is a pulsometer.
This small and very finely rendered instrument is from Taurus.
A bit of paint, a fuel line made of painted copper wire, a selfmade wooden board, plus a shut-off valve for the air pump.
Nothing more is needed.

The pulsometer-board is mounted on the left side of the cockpit, above the air pump.

"nothing more is needed"!
This must be the understatement of the whole website!
I'm scared this aeroplane is going to actually take off and fly away.
Perfection.

@macspooan
Believe me Sandy, I came close to actually flying it several times while building the model ...  ;D

Now to the next, very important instrument for the pilot.
Without this thing, many - on both sides - would not have found their way home.
I think you know which instrument I mean, it is the compass.
It was even included in the kit ... well, not the parts, but at least the material for it was mostly included  8)
The first picture was the only original picture of the cockpit I could find.
This picture served me as a template for all scratch installations in the cockpit.

I again used some scrap plastic, this time from the kit, but also from WNW.

First the compass housing was needed.
A small lead ball was used to represent the curved lower bottom cap.
In the pictures you can also often see the tool I used - all no witchcraft.

The future housing was provided with a 0.4mm hole on the side

I inserted a 0.4mm brass tube into this cross hole as a bearing....
Later a wire will be glued into the tube, therefore the tube must be re-drilled again with a 0.2mm drill.

Now the lead ball is glued in place.
The housing is almost finished ... almost.

The compass housing is now inserted into a ring in which it is movably mounted.
The material for this ring - of course, again waste plastic.
The steps are almost the same as for the housing.

The principle can be seen in the following pictures.
A CNC drill inserted through the brass tube serves as the bearing shaft at the moment.

Compass housing and ring also need a mount.
This bracket will be semi-circular in shape.
Finding the right material was the biggest challenge in this case.
It is very rare to find sprues with such a large diameter in the box.
Anyway, in the next pictures very easy to see, the evolution from waste sprue to a compass mount.
