The rubber tires were painted in two colors.
The tire itself in light gray and the surface, which rolls on the ground, in a slightly darker gray.
In addition, the flanks of the tires were somewhat soiled with oil paint.

In addition, a few small dents were applied to the rim covers. 8)

The rim covers were painted as usual - light gray, aluminum-colors, semi-gloss black with a drop of light gray, some chipping.
Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures at this point, I had some problems with the camera at the time.

Here, in the second image, the landing gear is already mounted to the fuselage.
Note the bracing wire on the underside - I discovered this detail only by chance on the original pictures.

Also a small detail, the missing step in the kit for mechanics and pilots.
Simple brass tube as a step and the bracket is represented with flattened copper wire.

The copper wire was pushed into the brass tube.
On the strut of the landing gear I drilled a small hole at the right position for mounting the step.
Thin tape was used to represent the flat sheet metal strip.

Magic! It's probably done with mirrors and smoke... 😀
Awesome work!

The pylon for the lower wing bracing.
This was located in the "V" of the landing gear strut.
See original pictures.
Unfortunately, this is missing on the model.
But Wingnut Wings continues to help here, with a donation of scrap plastic.
The holes for the two turnbuckles are drilled in the appropriate position and also in the appropriate direction.

The tail skid was used from the kit.
However, it was slightly reworked and also provided with the appropriate suspension (in the original probably coiled springs made of spring steel).
In the picture the revised tail skid from the kit in comparison with the original kit part.

To attach the suspension to the fuselage, holes were drilled at an angle at the appropriate position.

Here the spur is already attached in the correct position.
Well, I could have added appropriate brackets for the suspensions on the fuselage, but ....  8)

Here is an original picture for comparison.

That's it for today, see you soon.
