It seems my Revell Contacta cement was stronger than I anticipated and when I tried to remove them I felt I was going to break something! So today I'll be filling, sanding and repeating until I'm happy.

I have been away and failed to drop by recently, and suddenly there is a monoplane ready for painting! Looks as though you have everything well under control here Zac - the wingtips and wing alignment problems are well on the way to being rectified.

Just glue the top wing tips on before attaching the wing to the model!

It's a little-known mod the USAS introduced in September 1918

Well it's not exciting, but at least it's progress! I'm happy with the lower wing:

I installed the turtledeck incorrectly so there's an overhang, some more work to do there:

Putty, sand, repeat...but it's my fault, not the kit's! I didn't insert the upper fuselage part, rather positioning it atop the sides, resulting in an overhang that is fortunately proving simple enough to fix.
