It's turning out really nicely! Well done on the rigging.
/Fredrik

Thanks Fredrik! If I ever decide to build another DH2 or any pusher again, I will Have to learn to use Turnbuckles and Tubes  ::) This one looks fine from the front, rear, and directly above. From the side one can see that I tightened the wires a bit too much causing a small distortion in the booms. One good thing is the distortion is consistant on both sides and both booms so almost looks natural  ;D

You're really not helping me resist the urge to get a 1/48 DH.2! Some inspiration for you, albeit Kinner-powered and poorly-filmed by an excited teen who couldn't believe what he was watching:

Thanks for the Comments Zac! I enjoyed the video. It must be great to live in a place where there is so much aerial activity!

See Rick, rigging those booms was not nearly as difficult as you thought.

PS now you know why I use metal for booms on my models - less flexible than plastic!

Thanks for commenting Stephen. The Booms aren't that challenging....it is the control wires that have Me Spooked  :o Metal booms would certainly help on a pusher but I think just using tubes as buckles would help to adjust the tension properly. I am actually thinking of cutting away a couple of wires and perhaps replacing them with stretched sprue. That is IF the booms go back into their proper place  :-\

Those booms do look very spindly.  Looking great so far.

Yes, they are somewhat bendable  ::) Thanks for the comment Ken. Like I said this is one case that using more advanced rigging methods would have helped to adjust the proper tension...or I think it would have  ;D

That DH.2 replica - designed and built by Walt Redfern (of Fokker Triplane replica fame) and powered by a Kinner 5cyl radial - was always a delight to see fly, however for the last 15yr or so she's been displayed inside the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre in a very dramatic tableau where she's under attack from an Eindecker. But for DH.2 fans like me there's hope: word is a further replica or two are being worked on elsewhere at Omaka to fly...

Looks awesome, Rick.  Always like the DH-2.  Yours looks the part!  I'll like to see you turnbuckles.  Sounds like something I've tried too.

Thanks Dan. Not a great deal of progress but I did manage the control wires on the left side. Not perfect by any means but I am satisfied. If I ever build another DH2 I will have a Different plan!!
