Rick, the original had a plate with the connected turnbuckles, so I made a plate with 5 wires to and glued 5 Gaspacth turnbuckles to it (in 1/48, you know).

Good luck with the rigging of the booms, I hope they are strong enough!

Cheers,
Frank

@Rick: I still have the PE parts. So if anything goes wrong I could send them to you.

Been a bit since I last looked in . Looking fab with the booms in place . Excellent encouragement to get tackling more of my project .

Also awaiting your solution for the turnbuckles for the flight controls , will be facing this stage myself soon with some neat solutions already presented .

Thanks Alexis. I Look forward to your continuing with your DH2!

While thinking over the remaining rigging on the DH2 I did some Oil work on the Albatros DIII. Just a bit more to do then the final rigging(elevator control lines), then the final clear coats and it is done. Sharp eyes May have noted that I changed the title from Albatri to Albatros. I have decided to put the DII on Hold for a while as even with MY jig I am having difficulty with the upper wing. No Major disasters just Frustration!

It's still weird for me seeing a D.III with a painted fuselage rather than standard ply finish but it looks so, so good Rick. Excellent work!

I have the Roden 1/72 D.II on hold for much the same reason. But I'm optimistic it will be finished this year!

Thanks Zac. All 4 of My Albatros DV/Vas' and MY DI have at least partial ply fuselages. Funny thing is both of My DIIs' are overpainted  8) ( The other one is a red MvR bird. )
