Small update.
I put wash and oils - too much dirt I am afraid. But it is done, the next one will be flown by Mr. Clean.
Almost ready for the final assembly.

Too much or too little is very much a matter of personal opinion. Your build is looking really good and there is, as you say, always the next one to improve on if you feel like it.

I Love the results! If too much it is not obvious to Me! The prop looks outstanding!

I can't agree that there is too much dirt, it looks fantastic and the weathered effect is lovely and subtle still. I really like it!

Hi, I need help now.
Do You know if the rig lines diameter is the same. On some of the pictures (for discussion purposes only) they seems to be different:

Those on the first plan are thicker than the rest. But maybe it's an optical illusion, because they are closer. On the WnW plans (they are for Albatros D.V and D.Va only) rig lines have the same diameter.  Thanks for any help.

Hm, it’s really hard to tell.
Do you really think something that is hard to tell in 1:1 would be visible in 1:48? I doubt that.
Best regards,

I don't know. That's why I am asking.
I have 0,1 mm EZ line and fishing braid line (I am not sure if this word is correct here) 0,14 for thicker rigs.

I can't really answer the question about different thicknesses...

But, I tend to use fishing line, monofilament not braided, of 0.11 mm thickness for all my rigging in both 1/48 and 1/32 scale. That means a real life thickness of 5.28 and 3.52 mm respectively. Along Andreas' line of thought I too don't believe that small differences in real life will be visible in small scale modelling.

Good luck with the rigging!
/Fredrik

I think that will be fine... and I'll amend my previous post with the following...

If something in real life is different by millimetres from another thing, then this will hardly be visible in any scale representation. But there is of course a difference in appearance between 0.11 mm monofilament and 0.08 mm monofilament or Uschi's variants and whichever you go for might be more a question of personal taste than anything else. Personally I think Uschi's lines are too fine and I prefer wires that can be seen at a distance even if they might be a bit out of scale.

Cheers
Fredrik

Thank You, Frederik. When You make Your first model everything is difficult and unclear. Such posts do a great job.
