Lovely interior Alexis,

Have you added something to the green? Looks like a shade of mustard in there? Whatever it is it looks spot on!

Thanks Guy ,

Nothing has been added to the green . It is straight out of the bottle .  Vallejo Model Air US interior Green with a few drops of thinner . Model Masters was my go too for this shade and when it became no longer on the market . I tried mixing this my self with results which weren't favorable . About 5 years ago I started using Vallejo Model air , they do have a steep learning curve but once you get the hang of them they perform well .

This one is coming together nicely Alexis. I do not envy you haveing to put the PE in - I avoid that stuff whenever I can!

Ah, well it looks perfect anyway Alexis,

Yes, Vallejo used to be my go to, I’ve been converted by MRP and Tamiya with their lacquer thinner, that said, I still find Vallejo indispensable for brush painting.

Sorry for the late reply back guys , I ended up doing some more enjoyable for the day  :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Yup , and still smiling from those events !

Stephen , as I get up there in years I do find I have less tolerance to put up with PE parts . Most case I don't use must of it . Levers and hands aren't flat etc ..etc .. and will make those out of plastic instead .

Cool Marc , I still learning as I go too !

Guy , I use their brush paints as well and love them for that for detail work  ;)

I have just gone through your complete log to date Alexis. Nice work so far. I had one of these almost finished years ago and just lost interest. Eventually trashed it  :( Yours is looking great.

I built the Hasegawa P-38F/G/H a long time ago -this one looks much better then mine back then :) I mixed up my own Interiour Green with Revell Aqua (acrylic) paints, but I don't know if they are sold on the other side of the Atlantic.
They work about the same as Vallejo, but are more durable IMHO, particularly when masking.

Thanks Jeroen  :)

I don't know if we can get the Revell aqua colours here in Canada . Have never seen it in an of the shops . With the Vallejo you have to let this full dry before masking over them . Learn't my lesson a few times with their paint .  ::) Most of the colours I have are for WW 2 German subjects .

Base colours are on or at least what the instructions call for . More colours will be added to liven it up a bit and weathering will bring it all together .

Alexis,
The cockpit is looking great. Now I was wondering, with this kit, will you need to build a jig to align the tail booms?
I haven't built this kit and was curious.

Hi Kevin ,

No , a jig will not be need to assembly the booms . When I test fitted all the main parts it lines up ...but I will knock on wood just for good measure . :)
