Nice to see them both side by side. I have one question,  the elevator of Jasta 6 is up. Is that possible when the plane stands on the ground?

Excellent progress Rag, that Steinhauser scheme looks really cool and creates a nice contrast with the camouflage. You got yourself a truly unique Dr.I here.

Best,
Tim

These are two very colourful Dr 1's Rick. You seem to be able to find some very interesting schemes for them - and they are all new to me!

Thanks for all of the comments. They are appreciated! I haven't done a lot due to the Holiday but did manage to add the lower fuselage panel from the Meng kit to MY Roden build. I also painted the CDL background for the lower wing crosses. Finally I painted the eyes on the cowling. Still some tweaking needed  8) All of this is on the Roden Jasta 11 bird.

The face on the cowling looks great. I could easily believe that that was achieved with transfers.

It keeps getting better and better. The MG's look great. Maybe a little touch-up to do on the black and white wheels?

That pair really are some of the most colourful Dr 1's that I have seen. They are both stunning.

I think I missed a few steps along the way.  That is amazing progress.  The paint finishes look gorgeous to me.

Thanks Will. I have now painted the "New" upper wing of Kirschsteins bird. I just need to decide which I Like bestter ?  Both are "Off" just a tad from what I envision as correct  ::)

Amazing progress, Rick! And a lovely contrasting pair of colourful triplanes! Really well done on some adventurous schemes... and don't ask me which upper wing is better, I wouldn't know! I think you need to decide that.... Enjoying these builds very much! Marc
