I'm also impressed by your multitude of multiple builds. I find that I sometimes lose focus and make silly mistakes when building several models at the same time, but you just cruise through them it seems.

Cheers Fredrik

Here is one for You Fredrik  :o

First I took the Gear legs from a scrapped Roden DR1 and carved them to fit the Meng Axle wing. I am sure they will need tweaking but the results are promising!

Next is the Silly Mistake. I took the "Unused" Control stick from the Meng kit and Modified it to the Standard type.Attached it to the Roden floor with No problem. It was then that I realized that the "Unused" stick is the Late Type that probably was correct for 586/17! All I really needed to do was use it on the Meng kit and the one called for in the instructions on the Roden. Oh Well Not much I can do now  ::)

Feels good to know that you too end up there from time to time... ;D
Good that it was a relatively simple mistake and correctable.

Nice, Rick!  Your multi-builds are very impressive!  Wish I had your stamina.

SO DO I!!!!

Great dual build Rick: a really interesting comparison of these two kits

A very Small update: I was Talking to Kreston about using the Meng tailplane. Well Since I had the F1 tail handy I started cutting it down to match the Roden kit. Not much work at all and does look better than Rodens. To make it a perfect fit for the Roden Elevators I would need to remove the section penciled in on the Meng tail and add about 5 thou. to each end. I am debating about that part.

and this is the scheme for the Roden kit: The one on the bottom  ;D

RAGIII,
Thanks for providing the information about cross kitting the extra parts from the Meng kit.
That color scheme will look fabulous. I assume the information is from Americal-Gryphon.

You are welcome and yes, AG. It is also seen in Photo J4/5 in Greg van Wyngardens Albatros Publications Fokker DR1 Jagdstaffeln book.

Thanks Kent! Your Jasta 11 lineup was quite inspirational! By the way, I must say I am pleased to see all of the other Roden builds going on here. Hopefully this will encourage Roden even more than the Poll!

'My sentiments exactly' Rick - We have to fire up under Roden, to bring out some of the kits we watched disappear in the horizon, not so long ago!

At least to the point were we get the B.e.2c!!!!!
