More progress:

and the Roden kit: I see from the photo I have some touch up needed on the frame. I went with Valejo German Dark Grey instead of black to reduce the starkness.

Nice, Rick!  Your multi-builds are very impressive!  Wish I had your stamina.
There are only two states to be in:  Queensland and blotto.

Nice paint, Rick.
Do I understand correctly that the Dr.1s have that huge T handle on the right side of the cockpit for the pump to pressurize the fuel tank?

Any pictures of the real thing you can post?

I don't think it is a "Pump' to pressurize. My understanding is the  Cross member forming the T is actually a valve handle. It was connected to the throttle and or could be operated manually, and also used like a blip switch. There was a Video on FB a few weeks ago showing it in operation on one of the Replicas. I know it is visible in the photo of the crash of 591/17. I will check for more images. By the way, I think the one in the kit is somewhat oversized but I am not going to change it on this one  8) IIRC there was no need for a Pressurization pump like on Mercedes and other inline engine powered aircraft. (I honestly don't remember why)

PS: Here is a Link to Lloyds Fokker DR1 website showing the aforementioned 591/17

PPS: Looking at the photo again, I am Very Tempted to cut away what is supplied in the kit and replace with My own  ::)

I'm also impressed by your multitude of multiple builds. I find that I sometimes lose focus and make silly mistakes when building several models at the same time, but you just cruise through them it seems.

Cheers Fredrik

Thanks Fredrik! I do Make silly/simple mistakes! I was not satisfied with the bulkhead using the PE part from Part PE... ::) I had a surplus bulkhead from an old kit so I proceeded to do it myself with stitching from wire. I added a lot of oil weathering as this one represents a former Jasta 11 bird handed down to Jasta 4. THe New one is on the right of the photo.

and just the two I will use: Meng and Roden Modified:Touch up required  :(

Looks good!

Thanks also for new picture of the Roden rudder on the drawing, I think I'll sand the attachment part at a slight angle to even out the incorrect looking curves on the forward and lower parts and live with it. Thanks again, I noted this in my instructions when I get to mine one day...

Yes it does Amigo. Not 100% convinced as to accuracy. My Only real misgiving is that Many serious researchers viewed the photos that Richard Alexander viewed and none seem to have come to the conclusion of red primer. Of course there May be More I don't know about. As Ray Rimell seems to be on board with the conclusion I figured I would roll with it  8)

Thanks Jeroen! Yes if using the kit rudder an angled cut will help. Perhaps why I originally lined things up the way I did.
