LOL.  The sale at Andy's HHQ didn't last 5 minutes.

I started placing kits in my cart the second the website went live, and was trying to check out within 30 seconds.

Basically everything was gone by then and I didn't get a single kit!

Everything at the site is now gone, 7 minutes after the sale started.

Of note:  Andy definitely did not have everything that was pictured in his video from his store!

It was a smaller batch of stuff.

I was afraid of this happening, so I literally grabbed one AMC as soon as it went live and ran to the checkout.

Hopefully you'll get another shot when they start shifting kits from the NZ warehouse, and they will likely have  a better selection.

Thanks!  Yes, your strategy is the winning one and probably the only way anyone got anything.

I was placing 2 of 5 or 6 kits in my cart and that simply took too long.

By the time I tried to process the cart, errors were popping up saying "you have to modify your quantity for this and that" because items were already sold out.  You spend a few seconds clicking to do that, and now other stuff is coming up with the same problem.

I basically watched my shopping cart dwindle from 10 or 12 kits to nothing in seconds!

I really thought the kits would last at least 10 minutes or something like that and I could grab a bunch of stuff.

They lasted seconds!

I think that will really happen after WnW clears out all their inventory, but you are probably right.

there will likely be an irrational spike right about now.

but it really hits the fan when the NZ warehouse has emptied to the public.

i'm fortunate, i've got almost everything i need except a UWD and they're still plentiful. when and if the NZ warehouse sells off i'd like some OAW D.VII sprues, and engine or two, and some decals, so i'm basically moving on...

If you're really quick Andy's has the Felixstowe late on sale, it had glitched.

Edit: And its gone

Still showing the Late Felixstowe  in stock 30 min in.  I really only would like another BR Camel as there are 2 schemes I would like to build.

It's gone!  Of course!

Thanks for mentioning that, I had moved on and wouldn't have seen it.

That is the one airplane showing in Andy's recent video that I wanted the most so of course it gets screwed up.

If WNW is going to turn their website back on, I really hope they do it with no announcement.

That will give everyone a fair shot at actually getting something, with the diligent being rewarded for frequently checking in at the website.

There is quite a bit of "current production" stuff that has not been making the rounds since the shut down.

Stuff like the Stahltaube for example.  I have a list of many kits that I need one of!

I should have bought more of these things over the years but I always figured "maybe tomorrow".

Yeah, as noted above, that glitched.  It was never for sale when the selling began.  That's how it survived so long.

I suspect it sold out in seconds or a minute or 2, tops.

that sale was extremely discouraging - there were just a few things I was hoping to get but no luck at all. I'm sure there will be a ton of kits on eBay at double the price tomorrow. I guess kudos to those that were able to score and now can get rich scalping them off.

I am not sure if there will be a huge amount based purely on AndysHQ, unless someone was able to snipe 2 of each kit and succeed at checkout. That's literally the most anyone could have got out of the sale and not encounter issues at checkout with items in the cart.

I find it a bit strange that there is a lot of talk about AndysHQ and even MBK yet no one talks about Wheels+Wings hobbies.
They have some very nice kits still in stock ( AEG early + late, AMC, etc...they even have some Felixstowe late !) and from what I can see at "normal" prices.

It was very weird, went for a ships camel and was at the check-out at 12:03.  Went to check out and gone.  Not sure if there are tricks some users have to popping these off quickly.

Exactly my experience. Wanted only the Brisfit. Gone. I also noticed they had only half of the selection, not much cross over from MBK. I was also seeking a Junk. D1.
Hopefully Sprue Bros will get some...
