Very deft hand with the weathering Rick. So easy to go 1:1 weathering on a 1:32 model and you danced right around that pitfall with style.

Thanks SP! I appreciate your comments.

Thanks Richie. Today I plan to add the earth tones and do the wing upper surfaces . I will then be at a place where I Have to work on the struts  ::)

RAGIII,
The strut conundrum will be interesting to watch and a learning experience for all.

Hopefully it won't be a lesson in What Not To DO  :o I have finished the weathering and sprayed all of the fabric areas with a satin coat. A few small details to add then the strut experience begins  8)

Very colorful and weathered birds. I really like the whole trio.
No, I'm not starting my SPAD now - I have enough running projects! ::)

Cheers,
Frank

I've really enjoyed watching you build and paint/weather these three...looking forward to seeing the finishing steps.  Thanks for taking the time to do this.

I shall never forget my admiration for that German pilot, who single handed, fought seven of us for ten minutes. I saw him go into a fairly steep dive and so I continued to watch, and then saw the triplane hit the ground and disappear into a thousand fragments...James McCudden

So here is the latest. Weathering is pretty much finished. I have added the cabanes on all three and those pesky H struts on the Guynemer SPAD.
RAGIII

PS: After looking at photos and restorations like the Memorial Flight I decided the Cabanes were "Most Likely" not a wood finish but rather painted to match the camo. If anyone has definitive proof otherwise let Me know now  ::)

Very nice and convincing weathering, I like subtlety you put on these: used but not dirty, living flying machines.
