The colour Looks good, RAGIII. Reminds me of Butterscotch Ice-cream. Suddenly I'm hungry.

Guynemer looks really sweet Rick!  What paint are you using for the French cream dope?

The painting has moved right along.  Good luck with all of those struts. :o

Best,

Bob

Thanks Bob! As for the color mix it started out easy. Tamiya Desert Yellow and Gloss white. I thought it looked too much like a light Desert Yellow so added some of one of My abandoned Ecru mixes  ::)

Obviously the photo is deceptive Rick, but from the photo the colours look spot on to me. However I am sure that in natural light you can see the reason why you want to apply a second coat.

Liking the colour Rick. When I zoom in I can see some nice tonal variety too. I think it's going to work our beautifully.

So here is today's progress. The front of the fuselage has been painted in the "Matching" color used on Non Fabric surfaces. In the beginning they painted a straight line over some fabric areas on the fuselage. Glossed and ready for the next step.

RAGIII,
Talk about assume work! That trio will really take up some shelf space.
I look forward in wild anticipation for the next updates.

You may have shelf space at the moment Rick, but you will have considerably less in the near future!

These three providing they all make it to the end will leave room for 9 more fighters  ;D

Now having painted the Guynemer bird and glossed them all up I had to deal with another Number issue. Hobby Craft supplies Green Numbers per the book by Norman Franks and Frank Bailey. My French Friends assure Me that they were RED! So.... I used the decals to make My own hand Hewn Masks. I am sure touch up will be needed once sprayed  ::)
