You seem to have got around the cockpit problems very ell indeed - no gaps that anyone would be aware of. The fuselage does look an odd shape - but that is why I like these lesser known types - they have character! So do some of the kits reading build logs, but I am not sure that modellers always appreciate those!

Hi Stephen , thanks for following along on this journey . Large gaps are just easier to fill with rod or card . Finishing off with putty to fill . I still need to primer this and see how it is , but I need to start fitting the undercarriage . If things go well over the weekend I should have this part ready .

To my surprise I was able to get the landing gear fitted and the tail skid . Trying too clean up the kits alex bar would have been a waste of time so I used 0.09mm rod for this and a spreader bar using 0.06mm rod . Bungee cord is orange sew thread . The tail skid housing was removed making it easier to deal with the seem on the under side of the fuselage so it need to get replaced . I used a scrap piece of half round rod to make the part . Tail skid is just resting in place , hasn't been glued yet .

Up next is even more struts !

Hi Terri, sorry about my earlier confusion and thanks for pointing me towards your build thread. The interior is really beautiful and I love how you've reworked the tail skid and undercarriage. That looks like it required a lot of precision, especially in 1/48 scale. Looking superb!

Hallo Richie , no need to be sorry . These things happen from time to time even so with me . More so as I move up in age  :-X

For the most part it is simple , location holes are mould in place already so it's just a matter of drilling them out while trying not drill a finger tip , which happens from time to time as well . Hey I'm on roll with personal injuries !
Pin the struts is more involved making sure the holes to drill are center or very very close to it . Off center pin can mess with the anglement throwing things off . I use brass rob for this so if adjustments need to made they can be bent . Copper rod works as well .

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my build so far .

Progress continues with sanding off some of the fuselage detail and replacing it with strips of .10 X .30 and the latches is from scrap stock . It look about the right size so I went with it . I also scribe some panel lines on the underside of the fuselage to match the ones on the side . Center strut is ready to go and all other struts are cleaned up and drilled . Still have to add the pins which is the next stage of test fitting them . After that and painting can start !
