Ninak update time. It's been a while but these things take time. The interior sub-assemblies (and sub-sub-assemblies) are ready to be...assembled. Which of course means some will no longer be visible.
Still need to do the HGW seatbelts and add some internal wire cross-braces but those can be done once the interior structure is together.
Cheers,
Eric

Amazing work, Eric. I especially like the way you've got all the linkages and wires added to make your cockpit extremely well detailed. Beautifully painted, too.

Really, really impressive! My personal favourites are the leather and the cockpit floor planking! Looking forward to seeing more!

Interior structure together. Next task, assemble and install the HGW seatbelts, then...the engine!

Thank you for all the encouraging comments guys.
Just a small update tonight showing the HGW seatbelts installed.
They are a big improvement over the kit's photo-etched belts which for one thing look much too big.
It might be a while until my next post as I just started working on the engine. I've not decided how much extra work to put into it but as the plan is to leave the cowling top off I'll at least give the upper part of the engine some special attention. There's plenty of inspiration to be found in Des' excellent article about detailing the NINAK's Liberty V12 engine on the ww1aircraftmodels.com site.
Cheers,
Eric

The belts really add to the feel of the cockpit. Excellent results!

Some may think me nuts but I wanted to try using techniques based on Des' excellent article about detailing the WNW Liberty engine.
https://www.ww1aircraftmodels.com/page28.html
So, I'm in the process of replacing the 24 molded in spark plugs on my Ninak's engine. Plug bodies are 0.4mm brass tubing placed in holes drilled with a #77 bit. Stems are .008" bronze wire.
I'm also planning on adding some primer cups but first need to see if I can pull off cross-drilling brass tubing. Again, following steps Des gave us.
