I did it!  I was actually able to create priming cups for my Ninak's engine.  Made from 0.6mm tubing with a 0.3mm cross-drilled hole (first time I've ever tried that and I only broke three drill bits in the process, one is still usable).  Taps are .008" brass wire with a dab of Mr Surfacer 1200 to make the knobs.  In Des' article he installed 12 but several period photos I found of Liberty engines showed only 8 - 4 on each manifold.  So that's what I chose to do which saved having to make 4 more.    ;D

Cheers,
Eric

Nice work so far.I'm going to jump on board this build as it looks like I will learn a lot of new techniques.

Impressive! I instantly feel a need to try the same procedure... but I'll just save the idea for now.

Excellent work, Eric! You're a real 'modeller' (reference Facebook post).

Finally got my Ninak's engine done!  Literally a model within a model,  I probably quadrupled the build time by adding little scratch built extras like the priming cups, spark plugs (which are nearly invisible) and ignition wires.   :)

Sadly, much of the back end and underside details will be hidden once in the model but I'll be leaving the "hood" off so the topside details will be visible.

Very impressive work on your engine, Eric. And your cutting mat is beautifully clean (unlike mine!).
Cheers,
Gary

Thank you Gary and the rest!  Hehe...the blue cutting mat is only used for photos.  I have several green ones used for their intended purpose.  :)
