Now that the main rigging is done, it's time to start adding other external details starting with the auxiliary chin radiator and plumbing for the under-wing fuel tank.  The latter was an exercise in creative license as details in reference photos were difficult to see.  The pipe is a combination of brass rod & tubing with fine solder used for the bent section going into the fuselage.  The entry point into the fuselage was a wild guess.  :)

And then there are the wire wheels.  Photo etch spokes from Pheon using kit-provided tires. Pheon also provided a resin hub for the extra wheel to be hung under the fuselage as only two were included with the kit.  Interestingly, WNW included the tires and hubs but no spoke parts. The kit schemes use covered wheels so the parts I'm using are actually shown as not-used in the instructions.  Anyway, since I'm ready to attach the spare, I've assembled and dusted it with some Mig AMMO North African Dust pigment since I'm sure it got a little grubby hanging under there.

Work continues on my Ninak.  With the sad news regarding WNW, I'm all the more thankful and appreciative of the beautiful kits they released over the years.
The underside details including bombs and wheels have been added.  The exhausts have been installed as well.  As this aircraft was based in the desert, I added some dust and dirt using Flory and Vallejo Sand washes.

Cheers,
Eric

Beautiful, those sand washes have added such realism. Great tribute to WNW after a week of bad news.

That's a wrap!  My Wingnut Wings Post-War DH.9a Ninak is done.  I'll eventually set up my camera rig and take some better photos but for now, these will do.  :)

Cheers,
Eric

Great build report! I like all those details - really pitty, that some are mostly hidden.
You can be really proud of this model!
